Congrats Emily and Jameson!

Today was our cousin Emily’s wedding in Dickson.  Everything was absolutely perfect!  The best part was, of course, the bride.  Her dress was simple and covered in lace.  Beautiful!  The wedding was at our home church of Walnut Street Church of Christ.  They had torn down the original auditorium about 3 years ago and built a new one.  It looks great.  I was happy to see that they kept some of the stained glass, and some other elements from the original design.  This was the first time since the remodel that we had seen it.

The kids were being awful squirmy, so good ol’ Jason and Joe kept them in the gym while the women folk stayed for the ceremony.  I have to say it was nice to not have to wrangle babies and toddlers.  After the wedding (which was perfect C of C short and sweet), we all headed across the street for the reception.  There was a big tent set up outside with tables.  Fortunately there was a nice breeze blowing, but it was still pretty hot.  We went through a lot of lemonade!  The food was really yummy – heavy hors d’oeurves.  Emily had it catered by a couple at church who own a local cafe, House Blend.  I loved that she had them make our Grandmom’s cheese ball.  Perfect!  Ok, on to the pictures.

It was hard to take pictures.  Julia was hot and tired, and she insisted on clinging to me most of the time.  I have no pictures of my boys, which is a real shame since they looked so good all dressed up!  Here’s  one of Julia and cousin Hannah.

The single ladies waiting for the bouquet to be thrown.

We didn’t have all the cousins together today, but we got all the girl cousins that were here together for a picture. We were only missing Samantha to make it perfect.  Stinky school got in the way.  :(

Last, but not least, a picture of the sisters.  :)

It was indeed a beautiful wedding, and graced with lots of cousins, grandcousins (I made that up), and other childrenly relations (stop me, I’m out of control!). I was certainly proud of my crew!

    Love,
    Mom
